Room Service

One of the first things that one makes use of in a hotel is room service – a service that delivers food and drink to your room in the hotel. To order room service you need to put in a call to the front desk of the hotel. The number is usually found in some prominent place in the room. Most hotels have a room service menu kept alongside the room service number in the same prominent place. You could select the items you need and if you are within the range of hours in which room service is offered, you are in luck. In good hotels, room service is for a longer period of time. Once you order the items you have selected, you should expect your food in about 20-25 minutes. After a polite knock with a ‘Room Service’ the food cart is wheeled in. The type of room service being offered depends on the type of hotel you are staying in. More expensive ones tend to put more effort into their room service. A service is to get a computer to play Farmerama.

You could expect piping hot food served to you in the most beautiful of dinnerware. There are complimentary drinks and fruits to go along with the food. If however, you are staying in a more basic establishment, then you are provided with a more basic service. However, the things that you could expect generally from a room service call are food and drink that you ordered. Once you are done, you could call in again to let room service know you are done. If it is a good hotel, you could expect service promptly. If you are feeling too tired and sleepy after the heavy eating and do not want to wait for room service to pick up, you could leave the tray outside and they shall pick it up for you.
